Mary Meyer: The Biggie
The Biggie by Mary Meyer is a new classic in terms of a silhouette. What she started producing in her living room is now a cult classic. We love to layer it, wear it over a dress, pants or even biker shorts! She made two special Biggies for us that were inspired by Where The Wild Things Are. They are currently available in our pop up shop and online!
Part Two of our mini interview with Miss Meyer:
Q: What does the book mean to you?
A: Why does this story mean so much to us? Its from the sixties and yet like all universally profound stories: it's timeless. In simple tales, we can read the deepest and most important meaning. Where The Wild Things Are is about actualizing your greatness, your strengths, but also about learning your humility. Another important theme of Wild Things is self-creation. Max invents the world that he dominates in, it literally grows from his room, but that in the end, with all that self-invention, he just wants to be at home. To me that talks about how we are all ultimately responsible for the shape of our lives and also about how experiences teach us what really matters in life.
